The shocking change is in effect! AsianAmericanFilm.com has turned into APApop.com, which combines AsianAmericanFilm.com and its sister site AsianAmericanComics.com into a single entity.
What does this mean for you as a reader or contributor? Just about everything you liked about AsianAmericanFilm.com stays the same -- you'll even continue to be able to access the site via www.AsianAmericanFilm.com and, if you're a contributor, all your login information remains the same.
But the site's expanding its coverage a bit to include other aspects of Asian Pacific American pop culture. Given my professional interests, film and comics will probably get the most attention, but the expanded mandate will allow for attention to literature, theater, music, and whatever else catches my eye.
As always, I'll give first priority to Asian American cultural product, although work from Asia may also get a mention here and there.
In the next few days, you'll be able to access the site via www.apapop.com. But the www.asianamericanfilm.com URL will continue to work, and www.asianamericancomics.com will also eventually point to the site.
If you have comments, feel free to tweet them to me at @apa_pop, the site's twitter account.
Many thanks and more soon!
