Lee Neighborhood Theatres in conjunction with World Channel kicks off the 3rd annual Chinese American Film Festival in San Francisco. The festival will be held at the 4-Star Theatre, one of the Lee Neighborhood Theatres, from Friday November 13th to Thursday November 19th. This year's festival will be screening 8 carefully chosen films 5 of which are new 2009 releases including The Founding of a Republic which is a story about the foundation of People's Republic of China starring 170 famous actors. This year's films consist of a variety of genres and time periods from Chinese history to romantic comedy. 8 featured films are: The Message (2009); Red Cliff II (2009); Sophie's Revenge (2009); The Founding of a Republic (2009); Turning Point 1977 (2009); The Equation of Love and Death (2008); And The Spring Comes (2007); Stirring Trip to Mutuo (2003).
